Matty started out installing mechanical dinosaurs. From there: acting school, photo assistant, commercial photographer, and director. No clear through-line except a genuine curiosity about people and a stubborn belief that the best stories make you feel something before you understand why. Matty spent over a decade building a reputation for work that lives at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and human storytelling. Virtual production, volume wall sequences, VFX-heavy filmmaking. He knows his way around the technical end without losing sight of the thing that actually matters: the person in the frame. His short film Flames won Best Director at the Berlin Indie Film Festival and toured internationally.
